Shermian has been writing professionally for 17 years. From travel and lifestyle for magazines to integration solutions and enterprise management in B2B digital marketing, Shermian has learned to adapt her storytelling for various audiences.
Her very first work was a mini novel inspired by Road Dahl’s Matilda. Written at the age of 12 in a crumpled school notebook, friends pestered her for updates on the story until it was completed. The novel was a child’s project but it kickstarted Shermian’s adventures in storytelling.
Born and based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia but an avid traveller, Shermian recently launched her own travel website, Travel Insider Malaysia. When not exploring a new city or neighbourhood, Shermian listens to K-pop groups Twice and BTS while working on gardening projects, interests discovered during the pandemic.
